OPPO educate me on this gen Bimmer. Is this rust a deal breaker? And what about price? It looks to be well sorted. I emailed him for more info and possible test drive this weekend. Now that I am car-less again, I need to find a nice, clean daily on the CHEAP. I know a cheap BM is the most expensive BMW, but I am tempted. I have around 4500-5K to play with all in including reg fees and tax.
Also, if this isn’t a great deal, any suggestions? I’ve been a Honda and VW guy most of my life, but would consider anything really.

At that price, I think you can hold out for a better E30. Needs too much to a 5k tag. Btw you should still totally get an E30.

Way too much rust for that price.

Rust kills.
Vehicle shipping isn’t as bad as it sounds. Look to the South man!

If it wasn’t for the rust, it would be a definite NP.
But, in this state, it’s a CP, though the fact that the listing says
‘or best offer’ sounds like the seller could be willing to negotiate to a more NP level, which in this state, I’d say would be between $3,000-3,500 range at the most.

Have a mechanic do a PPI and you do a Carfax if you are really interested. The mileage seems too low for the year but who knows, could be. A PPI would tell you what expensive work may just be around the corner. The work the seller detailed is small $ compared to other potential work that may need done. If it all checks out I would say ok. I think the rust is workable but again a close inspection is needed. I would rather deal with a little rust than have the same car with no rust and a extra 100,000 miles on the clock.
